Gary Ouellet | 2011-12-01 05:23:29 | Thanks, it worked exactly as the instructions provided. The only matter now is to get a kit for the waste ink. No wonder the ink is so expensive - so much goes to waste.
Where can I get a kit to store the wasted ink?
Thanks again, Gary | | michael thomas | 2016-02-20 23:16:31 | Guy gave me an printer Epson Pro 4900.
The printhead was completely clogged.
Used your adjustment program initial ink charge and got an immediate 100% clear nozzle check.
Wish everything was this easy...Thanks | | Sergio Carlo Bianchi | 2019-07-20 19:34:55 | My Epson XP-760 works again with Waste Ink Counter Reset!
Thank you very much | | Hugo Daniel Musso | 2015-10-19 17:13:35 | I have an Epson PX710w it is a brilliant printer, happy was I...but then....
the now infamous \"end of life\" message appeared.
After hours of research I found that Epson had a free download to reset and service printer, I downloaded only to find it did not work.
On contacting epsonuk I was told that there is no reset utility or program for uk Epson printers and that I must take it to my local Epson service centre.... this would cost £80 plus vat and parts! more than a new printer.
After advice from forums and many ebay offers of a \"genuine\" reset utility/key, I found 2manuals.com.
through them I \"chatted\" with John who assured me it would work, despite Epson uk advice, and so proceeded to purchase.
from start to finish it took less than ten minutes and I now have a fully working printer for a Meer $10 (about £8)
I cannot recommend this company any higher ..... thank you very much 2manuals and John and one up on big greedy corporation\'s.
Andrew in UK | | Lynn Hendrickson | 2023-12-18 18:55:39 | I was very happy with the ease of ordering & installing the WIC Reset Utility Key. My printer is up and running once again after I replaced the waste toner box. THANK YOU | | matt hoffman | 2012-01-22 20:45:03 | Wow, I cannot believe that this actually worked. I had some issues when ordering the reset key, but i contacted the website via email and they immediately got back to me and sent me the key code. ran the program and the printer now works again. I had tryed the reset utility from epsons website, but it didnt work how it was supposed to, it would reset but when you would go to print it would go back to the flashing inkpad needs replaced. I will have to print for a while and see how long this actually works, but for now this has saved this printer from going into the trash. I am glad i stumbled across this program and the website. (used on Epson Artisan 800). | | Mark Wainwright | 2022-11-15 18:03:40 | Very impressed!
After a fruitless search for official Epson support for the Waste Ink error I found a YouTube video showing how to remove and clean the ink pads but still needed to reset the counter.
After some initial "Is this unofficial 3rd Party Solution a scam?" trepidation I took a chance on the WIC reset tool and now, about half an hour (mainly spent drinking tea and waiting for the key to be emailed) and 6 quid later I have a fully functioning XP-342.
In the meantime, Epson UK responded to a message I sent them on Twitter, telling me that I could send the printer away to their service centre for an unspecified period of time and pay them £48 to have the ink pads changed and the counter reset. All with a caveat that having "tampered" with the ink pads myself, the service centre might refuse to fix the printer.
Thanks for a great piece of kit which has saved me a lot of time, effort and money. | |
