At first I was trying to execute the reset on my laptop (I already expected it to be a headache), and wasn't able to do so. BUT! Once I hooked up to my desktop, it took me less than 2 whole minutes to complete the process: download wicreset.exe , plug in and turn on my printer, choose the "Reset Waste Counter", enter the TRIAL key and complete the reset. I'm so stoked!! I love the epson ecotank, and I wouldn't have gotten one if I wanted to spend additional 100's over it's lifetime xD
So glad I found this route (otherwise you have to pay $80-$150 to send it to Epson so they can perform the 2 minute service)

Wic Utility Reset is not working, I have an Epson 2800, I paid for the key reset code, I followed all instructions, and watched videos on how to do it.
I asked for support twice, and no one responded to me. I paid $16.80 CAD for the code, Total waste of time and money.

La verdad quedé bastante sorprendido con el resultado. Desde el primer momento todo fue muy sencillo y el servicio cumplió con lo que prometía. La calidad se nota, los detalles están muy bien cuidados y la atención fue excelente.
Definitivamente lo recomendaría a cualquiera que esté buscando algo confiable y de buena calidad. Sin duda volvería a utilizarlo.

Does your tool support unlocking or changing the destination code on the SC-P10070?

Worked like a charm. eezy-peezy. This do-it-yourself project saved me the cost and set-up of a new printer; WIC Reset saved me the cost of going to epson for a more expensive reset. Thank you.

I was initially hesitant to download the file to my Mac because my computer blocked it from opening. After reviewing the Privacy & Security settings and allowing it to run, the software opened without any problems.
I connected my Epson 2800 directly to my computer, and the software recognized it immediately. The trial key worked flawlessly and restored my printer to 80% in just a few minutes.

Wonderful! It worked.
But not the first time
I also bought Firmware key but my model ET-2800 not listed. I did it anyway. I'm a dummy.
Downloaded and ran new WIC Utility. Shutoff/unplug printer and USB cable tried again and voila it worked. Powered off immediately.
Powered on and it is working!!!
Firmware was replaced. Before XE13QZ 13/02/2026
Now: XE18MB 18/11/2022

Epson XP-630 - Waste full and this app worked without an issue on the first try. Hate that they lock you out and need to hunt for solutions but this is the way of the world now and 2Manuals.com with the WIC Reset Utility came to fill the gap that Epson intentionally made. Thanks for this! I don't like to e-waste when I don't need to and this solved that problem.

This was one of the most satisfying on-line experience I have EVER experienced!
It started with some slightly suspicious message appearing on our (usually functional) 2019 Epson ET-2760 ink jet printer:
“The Inkpad Needs Service. Contact Epson.”
My wife, who has been the person diligently tending to the Epson, had surrendered because Epson was TOTALLY unresponsive.
So then it was my turn. I did the only thing I ever do when confronted with a potential fiasco like this: I entered the mysterious Epson message into my Google search engine. Up popped information about a "WIC Reset Utility" that seemed to make sense. I downloaded the TRIAL version, which would theoretically be able to “reset” the Epson’s Inkpad counter One Time. Say Wha?!?
Bottomline: It worked HEROICALLY, so I I have gone ahead and purchased the actual WIC Reset Utility software. I am imagining that if this message ever appears again I will now be able to work around it.
This software literally SAVED our old Epson printer, for which I will be eternally grateful.

This software has the advantage of working over Wi-Fi, so you don't need a USB cable.
For €8.54 ($9.99), I easily reset the counters on my Epson XP-610, which had frozen.
